The School Council is hosting its annual Trivia Night fundraiser, so get your team together and come out for a very fun evening! Tickets are $20 and may be purchased through School Cash Online or in the main office. Tables can accommodate teams of 8 to 10 people. Doors open at 6:30pm and pizza is included in the price of your ticket. Games begin at 7pm. This an adult only event.

Each year, the Fraser Institute invites high school students to participate in an essay contest, showcasing their ideas on public policy and the role of markets. Winning essays are published in Fraser Institute journals and authors have the opportunity to experience the peer review process.
The 2016 Essay Topic was Small change – Big impact: Improving quality of life one policy change at a time
This year, the winning essay was written by St. Matthew student, William Dunstan. William, grade 11, was awarded first place for his essay about Repealing the Indian Act , which has been published in the winter 2017 issue of the Canadian Student Review (see link below ).

Twas the Night Before Christmas (PJ Day)
In keeping with tradition, students and staff are invited to help decorate the Christmas "Mitten Trees" located in the student and office foyers. We are collecting gently used or new mittens, gloves, toques and scarves to help keep little hands and heads warm this winter. The collection will run all week and end next Wednesday, December 21st, 2016.
All donations will be delivered to the Snowsuit Fund.

What could be more intriguing than one murder? How about two murders? Crooked house is home to many interesting characters who find themselves suspects in this comedic musical full of twists and turns. Will Hercules Porridge--Jr!--unravel the mystery and find out 'Whodunit'? Only time will tell.
Good luck to our Varsity Football team who competes in OFSSA next Monday November 28th. The team travels to Hamilton to compete in the Metro Bowl against Michael Power Catholic High School. Game time is 1:00 pm on Tim Horton's Field, home of the CFL's Hamilton Tiger Cats. Go Tigers go!!
